A New Chapter: Moving Beyond Etsy
My support staff is full of mix emotions. My CPawO Hagrid is conflicted. Cordelia, the supurrvisor, is enthusiastic, while meowager Batman is unimpressed (as usual).
Yesterday marked the end of an era and the beginning of an exciting new adventure. After six wonderful years, I've made the bittersweet decision to close my Etsy shop. As I reflect on this journey, I'm filled with a mix of nostalgia and anticipation for what lies ahead.
The Etsy Journey
When I first dipped my toes into the world of selling art online, Etsy was a godsend. Their platform made it incredibly easy for me to start sharing my creations with the world almost immediately. I still remember the thrill of my first sale and the joy of connecting with art lovers from across the globe. Etsy provided a launchpad for my artistic career, and for that, I'll always be grateful.
Why Say Goodbye?
As my business grew and evolved, so did my needs as an artist and entrepreneur. Two main factors influenced my decision to leave Etsy:
Platform Fees: While Etsy's fees were reasonable when starting out, they began to feel like a heavy burden as my sales increased. I found myself longing for more control over my pricing and profit margins.
Creative Control: As an artist, expressing my unique vision is paramount. I began to feel constrained by Etsy's platform limitations and yearned for more freedom in how I presented and marketed my work.
Emotions of Transition
Closing my Etsy shop felt like saying goodbye to an old friend. There's a sense of nostalgia for the platform that helped me start my journey, mixed with excitement for the new possibilities that lie ahead. It's a reminder that growth often requires stepping out of our comfort zones.

I'm thrilled to announce that you can now shop for my art directly through my very own website! This move allows me to offer you a more personalized shopping experience, showcase my work exactly as I envision it, and connect with you, my wonderful supporters, more directly.
I understand that changing where you shop is a significant request. However, I want to assure you that by moving your shopping experience, you'll continue to receive the same exceptional level of support and service you've come to expect.
I have already implemented a new and exciting change to enhance the overall shopping experience. All items, without any exceptions, will be shipped free of charge. This will be exclusively within the borders of the United States, for now. This allows customers to have products delivered to their doorstep without extra shipping costs. The goal is to provide a seamless and cost-effective shopping experience, ensuring easy access to our wide range of products.
